It would depend on the game. Most places wont allow you to wong into pitch games.
I'd guess you're looking at something around 1%, on average depending on how selective you want to be.

I mean there's nothing stopping you from walking around all day waiting until there's some 5% edge, but you wouldn't get many bets in.
 
I assume you mean the cut card is 1/2 deck from the back. That would be pretty nice game.

I'm not a big fan of wonging, just because I don't see a scenario in a casino where it's particularly helpful or less suspicious than regular play.
Assuming you can bet a large spread and leave in particularly bad counts, the difference is slight.

Unless using some kind of team play, standing behind a table and counting, jumping in with a big bet, then repeating would be more suspicious than anything.
I'm curious to hear what you're considering.
 
Yeah. The cut card is 1/2 deck from the end of the shoe. I've found a place with more than a couple of dealers who do this fairly regularly. It's a high traffic area as well. So someone standing behind and Wonging isn't entirely suspicious. The spreads almost seem more suspicious to me in this setting. I simply have no experience counting even though I coded a simulator. I am thinking that Wonging would be an easier way to start since if I were to fuck up the count, I could just move onto another table. Although, I suppose if I'm playing I could get up from the table just as well.

that's not exactly a high roller joint. If you mope around until you find a nice true count, at busy time, come in with some black chips and play out the rest of the shoe(as long as it stays high) you might be ok. Just don't try to repeat that move.

Do you find that they are less suspicious in high roller areas? I would think that they would be keeping tabs on the high stakes players much more than the lower stakes tables. I believe they have a $1k max. Might be more on weekends.

I haven't played much for a while. I do keep an eye on what games are being offered.
I'm not referring to hi stakes tables at a given casino, rather the casino itself.
I once had a dealer call out to the floor every time I bet a green chip in Golden Gate downtown. But if you go to Bellagio $500 bet is standard, and you wouldn't stick out of the crowd.

Personally I would go to a place like Bellagio, because they have good games, many tables, crowds, you'd never get noticed.
