I can't see it happening at all. He is under club control for the next two years, I believe, and is a catcher who can hit 20+ homers a season which would interest just about every team in baseball. If the Angels really want to trade him, which they might since they seem to have a really odd love affair with Jeff Mathis at catcher, they will position themselves much better by doing so in the offseason where he can be offered to any team rather than the first one to claim him off waivers.

Napoli is not going to come cheap, but he would be a good option for next year.
