Exactly. I was surprised to see Clint Eastwood going so cheeseball like that.

Some of the rugby scenes were comically bad too. I realize you can't recreate that stuff with 100% authenticity but I would have thought think they could do better.

But I loved other aspects of the movie like the depiction of Nelson Mandela and his leadership philosophy and style.

They missed the boat when NZ did the Haka, they could have easily tied it into the adversity of the situation and society or some shit like that. As they did it, it looked more like a promo to a video game.
