Raisin Bread - Underappreciated

I have spoken many times on the virtues of raisin bread. Specifically, raisin toast with peanut butter. I have it several mornings a week.

The raisin bread I buy doesn't look quite like the one in the pic though. The RB I buy is solid. The one in the pic has some kind of swirly action going on. Like if you cut a slice in half there would be loose pieces. That seems odd and not in a good way. A slice of raisin bread should have integrity IMO.

I bet it's tasty all the same.

I have never tried that. It sounds so radical as I sit here and think about it but by gawd I think I need to try it.

I didn't know if this meant raw cheese or with the cheese melted on. I decided ---> cheese melted on. I have a plate with 4 slices in front of me as we speak.

I had it with old cheddar. That's the only cheese I ever have around here. It was alright. It was not what I would call a revelation - and it does not seem likely to become a regular thing for me - however it was pretty okay. I am calling it an experiment with positive results.

Maybe fiveteamer has fancier ideas for cheeses.



I do not currently have a can of air freshener in my bathroom but I am feeling intimidated into getting one by Lou Diamond Phillip's aggressive head.
