That means even though Quebec is poorer, it spends far more."
Matty, don't take this personally, you are a fine Canadian but your province is despised by Canada for its sense of entitlement, Quebec can't support itself and cheerfully accepts transfer payments from Canada at the same time wanting to be independant.
I have to agree that Quebec separation is no longer a possibility, Canada is stuck with Quebec and will unfortunately have to continually bail them out.
I agree with the politicians in Alberta, something must be done.
