The Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, a catholic secular non-profit has the sole right to gambling in the country. Besides casino gambling licenses, they run the regular lottery. They also run Totobola, a 13 team parlay 1x2 weekly thing. They also run Placard, a regular pph looking sportsbook. Euro books can get licensed to operate in the country, where local players have to sign up with their tax id and are cap at 100 euro bets, in Placard also the same cap.

Today, in the eve of the biggest match of the year between Benfica and Liverpool, the line for a Totobola shop near the stadium was almost a block long. It was sad.

I will start a local booking operation. Master-Master-Agent | Master-Agent | Agent-Player. Asian style. I am back in the game!

How long before you can get Portuguese citizenship?

There's a special visa for entrepreneurs that can prove that they have the financial capacity to support themselves, if given that would be a 1 year temporary residence permit, which can be extended 2 more years, then a second extension of two years, and after you would have the right to a permanent residence. The cool thing about Portugal is that the financial capacity is not something crazy high, something like $10k per year. Or maybe a Ukrainian can claim me. :winkwink:
