Stop #1: Wynn
PARKING: Very convenient parking. Sportsbook is just down the hall way on the right after the poker room and a restaurant. Easily the most convenient sportsbook on the strip to get in and get out.
ODDS: They offer MLS, Tennis (R16 and beyond for majors), other niche sports. Dime line for baseball. 1x2 for soccer.
SPORTSBOOK: Usually watches the big sporting events there. Heavy race section with the sports tucked away in a corner. Electronic board. Most of the seats are "Reserved" to someone who won't be there that day.
Stop #2: Stratosphere
PARKING: Can never get a good parking spot, but the garage is near the sportsbook. Just go down the escalator, turn right, and you're there.
ODDS: Same offerings as usual: MLS, Tennis (QF and beyond for majors). 15 cent line for MLB but they tip sides they need more often than other books. Spreads for soccer.
SPORTSBOOK: Uses white boards and their lines aren't always up to date on the board (screwed Potato out of .05 cents on a bet yesterday, he cancelled). Has the "El Cortez" type crowd watching games there. Looks like they just threw out a bunch of spare chairs out from the dining hall. Wouldn't recommend sticking around, just a lousy environment.
Stop #3: Palace Station (Stations)
PARKING: There's always some sort of backup at the I-15 Sahara exit, whether it be traffic, an accident, etc. Takes Potato at least 10-15 minutes to get there from the Strat. Always turn left onto Rancho Dr. because the lights aren't timed so you hit the left turn into Palace Station, and there's always traffic so you can seldom make a U-Turn and make a right onto Teddy. Rancho has an outlet into Palace Station.
ODDS: Easily the most beatable odds in town. Offers MLS, EPL, International Friendlies, Tennis (RD16 and beyond for majors), niche sporting events, etc. Dime line for baseball, almost always adds on the extra 0.5 point for the weeknight TV game and the "sides they need" for all other sports. Spreads for soccer.
SPORTSBOOK: This book ... is where the big guns bet. 15 minute race and sports parking spaces, posts limits, niche sporting events, and a sportsbook area that screams "we don't make $$$ here". TV's are no bigger than yours or Potato's in the living room, la-z-boy's are old and worn out, white board to list the lines. They do announce line moves which can be beneficial and gut wrenching. Easily Potato's favorite out.
Stop #4: Palms (South Point)
PARKING: Parking is adjacent to the book, but rarely can Potato obtain a spot within a 100-yard walk from the entrance during peak hours.
ODDS: Lines all but clone Olympic for baseball, but they hang a bad number or two for the spread sports. Same line set as El Cortez and South Point however Potato has heard rumors they might become a Caesars zombie. Offers EPL, International Friendlies / Tournaments, Tennis (QF and beyond in majors), UFC. Used to offer spreads for soccer now it's 1x2.
SPORTSBOOK: Normally Potato only stops here to pick up the daily "off-market" sheets for reference when he goes to South Point later in the evening / early morning to bury them in EPL / Tennis, but that has changed now that they have realized the error in their ways. Sportsbook is not ideal to watch a game. Lots of seating, but the big screens are worn out, outdated, and undersized.
Stop #5: Bally's (Caesars / Harrah's / Rio)
PARKING: The stretch from Las Vegas Blvd to Koval via Flamingo is ALWAYS a parking lot. But, this is easily the most convenient book under their umbrella to access. Book has it's own entrance adjacent to Flamingo + reserved parking. It says you need a pass but several writers + the manager have told Potato you only need the pass if you're a hotel guest parking there overnight.
ODDS: They offer .15 cent baseball lines but they get a ton of square action and often push the lines. They offer Tennis (QF and beyond for majors), plus International Soccer Tournaments but no EPL nor MLS.
SPORTSBOOK: Remodeled the book recently, but they still didn't get it right which upsets Potato. Their auditorium style seating has so much potential to draw a big crowd, but the personal TV's stink, the chairs stink, and you can only watch the big screens in the back few rows which are on projectors. Electronic board for their lines.
Stop #6: Ellis Island (Leroy's)
PARKING: Maybe a dozen convenient spots which are always occupied. They have a 3 story garage adjacent to the casino which Potato usually parks in.
ODDS: Dime line for baseball. International Tournaments for soccer, the usual for tennis. Odds listed for off-market events are never accurate nor +EV. Sharps suck out all the value here before Potato can spot it.
SPORTSBOOK: Tucked away in a corner. Maybe 20-25 seats. Some personal TV's, same as Bally's. Wouldn't watch a game here unless someone paid Potato. Lousy environment. Glass monitors for their lines.
Stop #7: Tuscany (Cal Neva)
PARKING: Usually finds a convenient spot. Sportsbook is just inside the Valet Parking entrance.
ODDS: Dime line for baseball, but Potato found a ton of value here via soccer. Covers all MLS games + most of the International Friendlies / Tournaments on spreads. Offers Tennis for Majors (RD16 and beyond).
SPORTSBOOK: Maybe 6 chairs. TV's no bigger than the one in yours or Potato's living room (if even that). No one watches games here. Glass monitors for their lines.
Stop #8: Terrible's (Lucky's)
PARKING: Two big lots, not the easiest In / Out though off Paradise during peak hours. Has a garage that goes unused.
ODDS: Lots and lots of offerings for Soccer + Tennis (QF and beyond in majors). All MLS, All EPL, even saw Russian Premier listed there once. Like Stations, seldom are they at the prices listed and never are they on the Electronic Board. 1x2 only for soccer.
SPORTSBOOK: About 50 seats. No TV's bigger than yours or Potato's in the living room. Always packed with low life degenerates that live up the street. Not enough room. Wouldn't watch a game here.
Total travel time: 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how traffic is. He usually only goes to Stops 1-3 daily and 4-8 when there's soccer / tennis going on.
