Post game speeches by NFL coaches

I watch a lot of NFL Films etc and there always seems to be a post game speech by the coach in the locker room where all the players are gathered around the coach in a circle.

Is it just me or do these things seem very corny and scripted? I mean if I were a player in one of these things I would be rolling my fucking eyes.

The absolute worse is when the coach gives the game ball to the owner, some decrepit old geezer who probably owned slaves at some point in his life. If I were a player this too would upset me.

I remember an interview with a veteran player about pep talks and that kind of shit. It wasn't football; actually I think it was Steve Yzerman. He was saying how the veterans who have been around just tune it out and wait for it to end but it has some meaning to kids.

Remember last year or the year before, fox broadcasted a live post-game speech. and some player ( i think it might have been shiancoe) exposed his wang to all of America before covering up with a towel
