Have you ever found a game you just can't beat no matter how well you play or how you vary your play?

We have a card room around here and for the past 13 months I haven't been able to walk out of the place cashing. I've varied my style of play from time to time. My typical style is tight aggressive but like I said I do mix it up. I will never claim to be the best card player but I'm certainly no schlep either. While on a couple of trips I lost due to playing loose the vast majority of times my money got in good.

I still win at other places I play but this one place regardless of the players just has my number.

Do any of you have any places like that.
 
I used to think I ran bad in certain rooms, but it really comes down to how you play the hands. It's one of two things. Variance or play. The only thing you can control is your play, and the only one who can determine whether you were playing correctly is you. The thing is, Wally, if you're changing the way you play every time purely because you've run poorly with a different style in that room before, then you're certainly making mistakes. You have to adjust to the table. Not the room. Find weakness and exploit it. Those weaknesses don't depend on the room. They depend on those particular players at that table that particular day.

This thread made me remember something I'd totally forgotten......


Wally do you remember when you and I played in a SNG together on Full Tilt like a year ago?

I got bounced with AA and all the chips got in the midde pre-flop. You went on to win if I'm not mistaken (I'm pretty sure you did a lot of whining about how bad you were running back then too).

Daft, the whining I was doing then was about the same room I am complaining about now.

Daft, I said I win other places just not this particular room.

Daft you were eliminated holding 2 bullets. Everyone knows Andy only ever allows you one bullet, you were out of you element.
