Still trying to process this. Bergevin was saying just days ago that PK was a franchise player. Then he flipped him two days before his no-trade clause kicks in.

What a trade! We needed a guy like Weber with Markov nearing retirement.

We're gonna need even more offense now though. I hope Bergie has something in the works.

Pacioretty is prolly happy to be rid of the loudmouth.

All the talk on the radio about the Subban deal was how the Habs got robbed and/or were stupid. Ridiculous.

My first impression was, what is Nashville doing? Weber is the better player.

Everyone is acting like Weber is 13 years older than Subban but not the case. Less than 4 years. That matters but so does getting the better player.

Knee-jerk hysteria.

I don't really care as long as Weber and Carey Price are there for Team Canada. They have been anchors for multi-gold medals and counting - Habs are lucky to have them. Subban is good but a lower priority in my mind (and obviously the minds of Team Canada.)
 
I think that's a good move for Subban. I was thinking getting rid of Subban is good for Montreal until I heard who they get for him. Find a foking skilled forward you dumb asses. The #1 legendary nhl franchises most skilled forward is like the 80'th skilled forward in the league :facepalm:

I never been big fan of Stamkos, he grew on me during his absence. Tampa is good, team to beat.
 
It will turn out to be a bad move if we don't go after a real #1 centre. Subban brought a shitton of offense even though he had a lot more trouble scoring (or keeping the puck) last season.

I love Plekanec but he'd be a third-liner on several other teams.
