Pad Thai - Do you make it?

I've been going to the Thai Express a lot lately. Well not a lot, but maybe twice a month on lazy Fridays. I get the Shrimp Pad Thai. Medium flavour/hotness. It's awesome.

Now I am determined to try to make my own after seeing Pad Thai sauce at the grocery store this morning. Has anyone ever made Pad Thai?

Cougar are you out there lurking in this thread? I doubt it.

Thai Express is shitty food court stuff. But I reckon that even their pad thai is pretty good.

i don't make it. I put it in my bellay.

Ya it's Mall food, but it's not shitty. The constant long lineups always caught my attention so I gave it a try. Tried the chicken first, but wife went with the Shrimp. The chicken was ok, but the shrimp was unbelievably good. I'm hooked.

Food court food is shitty by definition. Up here it's basically one company making high-margin junk food for the working stiffs.

Wow that was an interesting article. I will now only go there once a month and will try to make my own at home.

Also, taking 2 kids to a real Thai restaurant doesn't sound like it would be a fun time for both Mom, Dad and the little Puckers.

They get the A&W and we get the Shrimp Pad Thai.

Is Thai Express the Olive Garden of Thai food?

It's one full grade below that. Thai Express only exists in food courts/strip malls. It's fast food that's targeted towards shoppers and business geeks.
