Kind of a random question. I can't think of another artist I have such different opinions on based on what stage he was in.

Mutations to me is one of the most genius, transcendent albums of all time to me.

Stereopathic Soul Manure has genius moments, i.e. Rowboat is a flat out epic country song to me, and I hate country.

Sea Change just flat out has some monster ballads and is tremendous, and obviously there are Odelay and Mellow Gold which despite having multiple massively overplayed songs are legendary. One Foot in the grave has its moments too.

That being said, I find his R&B side or whatever the heck you want to call it unlistenable. Guero, The Information, Midnight Vultures are all garbage to me.

Modern guilt is OK, has a couple good tracks.

The guy definitely mixes it up probably more than anyone ever, just can't think of another artist who has some of the all time greatest songs in my opinion yet also has albums that if I were cleaning I would throw in the trash.

Sea Change is very complete. Little One is the coolest song on there to me for the guitar work, if you've ever heard him play this acoustic live it's pretty sick. In fact that whole acoustic tour he went on following that album where it was just him and Smokey sitting down and playing smaller venues, those are some of my favorite shows by any artist to date. We caught one in DC, amazing.

Lonesome tears is just a monster song.

Sounds like good insight on Glenn Beck there, if I had ever hear him I'm sure I would have gotten more out of it

I have one Beck CD which my CD guy made for me some time ago. I think it's called Odelay. It's pretty good as I recall.

That's about the depth of my Beck knowledge other than I like the song Loser and I remember him being on an episode of Futurama.
