Anyone have any thoughts on the games today?

After a quick glance I am leaning toward Norway at +5.5 but I am not completely sold on that pick. I think USA wins easily but even teams that are really over matched have seemed to keep the games fairly tight so far. Anyone else have thoughts?

Just from a very quick glance I think China will beat Russia in women's hockey.

Men's - Russia/Slovaks - Over

Men's - I haven't made up my mind on the Canadian game.
 
I was very pleased with what I saw of Team Canada in the Norway game. I think they should romp over Switzerland. It seems like people are factoring in what happened in the Canada/Switzerland game in Turin 2006 in evaluating this game and deciding it should be close. That is ridiculous (but typical of bad cappers and over-analyzing media people).

It is a group of NHL all-stars against a bunch of minor leaguers. Canada rolls.


I am not betting on this tournament at all.
 
I think the Canadian game tonight will be the same as the Norway game. After the first period the flood gates will open and you will see Canada fill the net. What happened in Turin has no bearing on what will happen tonight. 2 totally different teams. Hiller is good, but I think Canada will still fill the net. I'm still on the fence on the O/U, but I am leaning towards the under. Maybe 5 or 6-0.

From what I saw in the first round Sweden and Czech Republic are the early favorites.

Norway+5 -115 looks good

Would consider over 6.5 Slovakia-Russia.

Not impressed with their roster and wasn't impressed with the game vs Canada.

Norway all but gave up once they were down a couple of goals.
I see a similar result vs the ugly Americans.

I locked in Norway at +5.5 I really see about a 5-1 win here for USA. I know Norway is bad but that is a huge line....

So far huge lines haven't been a problem for the better teams.

It's tough to switch the way you bet on games when you see these big spreads, but this aint the NHL.
(Big rule differences and the best players from Norway can't really compete against the hockey powers)
