I love Oswalt too, but the Phillies are coming off of being swept four games by the shitty Astros, scoring only seven runs in the series. In fact, they've scored two or less in seven of their last eight games. Now on the road against the team with the NL's best record, and Mat Latos, how could Philly possibly NOT be the dog here?
Latos has allowed two or few runs in his last 12 starts; three or fewer in his last 19. Naturally there is a fair bit of luck in there but the pitching matchup is a lot closer than you think.
Dave I understand but i think they can regroup with the 24 hours or so they have to chill. They are veterans they will be fine I think. I agree philly is struggling, but I also blame in on them playing down to their competition. Oswalt will step up big and dominate the padres.
