Well I took the Devils because although they haven't been playing great they still have it more together than the Leafs. This will be the first game that the Leafs play with their newly acquired pieces so I have to believe there will be some growing pains there. I would be very surprised to see those players step on the ice and look like an all star caliber team on night one. I think the Leafs are a solid fade for at least the next two or three games.

The Wild have been very erratic on the road while being quite solid at home as like much of the league this year. Seeing the Stars this year, they just don't seem to play with any fire or passion. I would even go as far to say that they have completely given up on this year. The team really needs to be ripped apart and built back up from the ground if they want to be a contender. They have way too many aging stars on that team not to mention their defense and goaltending is dreadful.
