So from my limited Google research it seems like a teamneeds to sponsor a trophy for it to be available him such as the Montral Canadiens sponsored the Marie's and rocket Richart a trophy him same with the Rangers sponsoring via Mark Messier a perseverance a Methergine whatever liters trophy thing they have there so people are saying on the Google that the Oilers or maybe kings could sponsor a Wayne Gretzky assist trophy I don't necessarily agree with that but am maybe I Adam Oates a via the blues sponsorship or a Ron Francis up you know Hartford Whalers the Carolina hurricanes a sponsorship would be applicable

Me personally, I feel like the NHL needs to simplify many things including trophies.

Selke Trophy ---> not required. Lady Byng? Seriously? No Rocket Richard Trophy. You just need the Art Ross. You get the most goals, good for you.

You don't get a trophy.

No Jennings Trophy. Just the Vezina.



And no more points for OT/shootouts losses. You win the game or you lose it. That's it. Standings can and should be a very simple thing.

Agree that we could do without the Lady Byng. I like the oher ones including the Selke. Defensive forwards tend to get overlooked, they deserve to compete for a yearly trinket.

Although I'm usually the top 3 goal scorer in my league, I consider myself a playmaker.
