It would be good for the country and the world if the Republicans keep losing and are forced to change from their posture of really not giving a shit about what's good for the country/world - but just trying to win elections by scaring stupid people and generally appealing to the low-IQ constituency any way they can.

In recent years, America has been the greatest possible example of why democracy is deeply flawed. There are many smart Americans - but there are SO many stupid ones and they have an equal vote and too much influence on important stuff.

(I do believe things are going in the right direction and things are brightening up down there. The pace is glacial but I see it.)



Politics should not be like a football game. You don't just win or lose and then it doesn't matter again for 4 years. Shit effects real shit.
