What brand shuttlecock are you guys practicing with? We are currently using a fancy (shitty) foreign brand with cork on the inside and I very much dislike them.

Or better yet, what brand will we be using next month? I want this competition to be fair, goddamnitz!

We're currently playing with HL Condor tournament approved nylon shuttlecocks that we got at Big 5. Do you have Big 5s? They seem pretty good. Similar flight to the cork/feather ones, but much more durable. They have a Styrofoam cork. We also have some fancy feather ones on order. The glowing-flashing nighttime birdies will be cork/feather, but I imagine that the grudge-match will be a daytime affair?

Oh, by the way, you guys are gonna get crushed.

One thing I have noticed is that the cork birdies suck in the wind. We tried playing today and didn't make it past 80. The freaking thing was picking up in the wind current and carrying it 10 feet away. We've never tried feather birdies. That will be interesting.

And yes, I'd assume our match will be held during the day while Bread is still somewhat sober. His foot is still fucked up, btw. We are probably very screwed.

The feather birdies fly great, but they disintegrate pretty quickly, or at least our cheapo ones did. We'll see how the better ones do.

Have you guys seen the Speedminton game? It looks pretty fun. We picked up some of the birdies, and they cut through the wind with no problem, but it's a whole different game, they fly MUCH faster.

I've heard of speedminton but haven't ever looked it up. That looks like fun. But you have to have two equally accurate people returning the birdie. But yeah, bring those things with you, I'd like to try them. And LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO @ the Arabs playing speedminton in the desert next to camels.

Durito, tell them that you have to go grocery shopping for a weekend and join us.

Has anybody handicapped this match yet? Will the X's be required to wear complete roller derby apparel, skates included?
