After.Life - Cheezeball thriller full of holes. I think they were trying for something along the lines of The Sixth Sense but it was so poorly executed. Probably the best thing I can say about it is it does lend itself to lots of post-viewing discussion. We must have ranted back forth for an hour about all the holes in it - then resumed the skewering again the next morning. Christina Ricci has her hooters out quite a bit if that's what you're looking for. 3.5 out of 10.

Temple Grandin - Biopic about an autistic woman who is able to use her extreme sensitivity towards animals to build a rather inspiring success story. Excellent, I thought. 8 out of 10.

The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) - One of few Scorsese pics I had not seen. I just plain didn't like it. It's not because of my general anti-religion lean; I just found it a dull, poorly executed story all around. 3.9 out of 10.

Kick Ass - The best word I can come up with for it is cute - which is certainly an odd word considering the amount of carnage portrayed. It's silly and watchable but not the sort of thing I get excited about. Apparently it is pretty exciting to the pedophile crowd though - one of the greatest revelations since Natalie Portman in The Professional. 5.7 out of 10 for me.

Graphic Sexual Horror - Its a documentary about a college professor that started a bondage website called Insex. It grew and became a pioneer in extreme sexual videos on the internet. Showed a lot of behind the scenes going on and how the government worked to shut it down. Fascinating to aspiring respectable internet entrepreneurs and bondage aficionados like me self.

7.2 Matty Raines.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Extremely clich. Gordon Gecko's daughter, who is somehow in love with a Wall Street type (Shia LaBeouf) but actually despises money (huh?), is a very poorly developed character. I just didn't care about her. In fact, I really didn't care about any of the characters. The whole movie is a bit of a mess. There were more than a couple of times where I rolled my eyes when they were trying to elicit an emotional response from the audience. There were times where LaBeouf's character had confrontational scenes where you thought, "Why would he do that?" All in all, almost the entire movie was a miss. There were a few decent scenes and some statements about the current financial setting that were decent but otherwise it was a total flop. This film gets 2.3 F0ckers.

Blue Velvet - Any scene with Dennis Hopper in this movie is beyond fantastic. OMG I don't even care about the plot (?), just Dennis Hopper.

YOU CALL ME DADDY, SHITHEAD! WHERE'ES MY BOURBON? BABY WANTS TO FUCK!!

:lmao:

28 Weeks Later - One of my favorite horror movies and sequels. Hooray.

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D :wah:

Don't laugh, I was a fan of the games way back when I needed an excuse not to write my term papers, plus I enjoyed the first 3 installments. Mind you, that shit barely qualifies as cinema - it's a fokken thrill ride for eternal teenagers like yours truly.

Even with that in mind, this one sucked. Doesn't deserve Matty Rains. 3 out of 10 Wallys.
