The Box
So this was one of the strangest movies I have ever watched. The movie is about a family that is in a bit of financial trouble that is offered 1 million dollars if they push a button on a box. The catch, that someone they don't know will die when they push that button. So the movie was really strange and as it went on, it just got more and more odd. There were a couple scenes that I am still unsure as to why they were in there...such as the portal scene in the library (if anyone else has seen this could they please explain why it was there) and then a scene in the beginning in which the woman (played by Cameran Diaz) is humiliated in front of a group of students by some little shit kid.

I have been reading up on this and there seem to be a bunch of different theories and explanations but nothing that really satisfies. It seems to be based on both a short story called "Buttons Buttons" and a Twlight Zone episode. I am thinking that reading that book is now a must as I have been told the ending is quite a bit different.

Interesting it seems the collection is called the Box

I remember the Twilight Zone episode about the "button unit." It didn't seem like enough story to sustain a whole movie but it sounds like they did a few things with it. I have heard pro and con about this movie so maybe I'll rent it when the pickin's get slim.

I did not watch a single movie in the last week. Very unusual for me but I was all caught up in the Olympics.

Here's a movie-related question for people. Do they show The Green Mile on your local TV all the time? I swear I have noticed in on, like, 20 different times in the last couple months. I'm not exaggerating. It's not just one channel replaying it over and over - it has been a bunch of different channels.

Decent movie and all but it's crazy.

Sarah Silverman Season 2 - For some reason missed almost every episode on Comedy Central. I love this show. I imagine some grandparent aged folks accidentally stopping on this show while channel surfing, and their heads exploding.

Ths State Season 3
- As far as sketch comedy goes, nowhere near as good at Upright Citizens Brigade, but it still has its moments. Although after Season 1, the next two decline in quality considerably. Although my old favorite line of "Toothbrush! Toothbrush you came back to mee!" was uttered on this disc. I like that.

Fool's Gold - Robyn picked this one because we have a comedic infatuation with Mathew Macaunaghy. He is so bad that we have embraced his douchebaggery, as it seems he has as well. The story is doggone atrocious, but Matty Mac is shirtless for approx. 95% of the film and busts out a couple "Alright alright"'s. Always fun to see Kate Hudson and know that she is Hollywood's female version of Colin Farrell. She enjoys a different cock every other week. I applaud her.
