I have like 8 or 10 offers on matchy, i swear on each one of them someone matched like 20 cents

happens every day

i swear I think its one dude who thinks it's funny to match every sizable offer for like 12 cents

or it could be some bubblegum capper who is actually using a very precise bet-sizing system with a bankroll of like 8 dollars, and has estimated that based on his edge and bankroll size he should put down 16 cents on the Philly five inning line

I think that this is caused by Matchbook's rounding, it happens too often to be actual bettors IMO.

Let's say that $999.51 is available at a certain price and $500 of that is your own offer (2nd in line) - Matchbook will show $1000 available and someone might come in and gobble up $500, including 49 cents of your offer.

It's almost impossible to work just with whole numbers when betting there, commissions and rebates force you to deal with loose change.

There could be three reasons for this:

1. There are several offers at the same number in queue before you and the amount of the wager is filled mostly by those in front of yours.
2. Sometimes people enter in an offer at a lower than market line and a set dollar amount. It eats up the best line first and any remaining monies are matched at the worse line.
3. Fishhead just bet your line.

nope it aint this, my offers are the whole thing, usually with no other offer even close on my side

this only happens on RRLs and 5-inning lines, there's no queue involved, its usually just me and then one other dude who offered 15 cents worse than my offer

i'm telling you this is either some total whackjob who thinks its funny for some reason to match teeny amounts from people's offers, or it's a legitimate bettor who happens to have a bankroll of like $7.50.

Someone was noticing a while back that due to rounding, someone could get a much better price than the actual offer, although you could only do it for pennies. Pally, have you checked the risk/win amounts of the of the offer to see how they match up with the price you set? Maybe someone has a bot to exploit this across all markets?

Pally talk to me dude..... THat guy follows me around too...... He has matched me for 2 cents at one point....... Let's get him.

You'd be surprised how quickly these 12-cent bets add up. Before you know it your 36-pack of Pumpkin Squash Ravioli is all paid for.
