I am an New England surfer, so all I have to deal with it is the cold water. but I went surfing 2 years ago in the Santa Cruz area and those waves kicked my ass.

I'm not a surfer, these breakers will be about a mile offshore makes it hard to watch but I hope they get some good live stream of it though. The weather should be clear.

This is definitely an even you want to see after some editing, like poker. Slow as fuck live plus too foggy, will wait for the highlights lol.

I just checked out the Ustream and right away saw nice ride. Looks like the fog has cleared.

OK the stream is real interesting. In the last few minutes we have had two spectators break bones.

The water is surging to the shore and the dumbasses are standing in the wrong place. They just showed this lady get worked by the water and her foot was broken. It was almost turned backwards. It was nasty.

I was going to ask if the winds had shifted? Yesterday we had winds out of the southwest, which puts an unnatural bulge into waves shoreward of the reef. I was hoping they'd wait for tomorrow when winds are supposed to shift northwards and give us the waves that made this event famous in the first place.
