To begin their west coast road trip, the Yanks have taken all four against the hapless A's and Mariners. That is expected. The joke is in the lines.

Their average line against Oakland in three games was -136. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! Now that is some funny shit. Have any linesmen WATCHED this Oakland team play this year? Yanks won all three games by an average of almost 4 runs. No sweat.

Now Seattle. -156 last night. Easy winner. Tonight Seattle is favored behind Cliff Lee!! LOLLLLLLLLLLL!! I get that Lee is awesome, but Hughes is no slouch. And the potency of lineups isn't even comparable. What a joke.

I'm not saying that the Yanks are going to win tonight. They're winning 64% of their games. They are the most dangerous team when down late. Their 1-6 hitters are ridiculously dangerous in late game situations. Mariano Rivera is still lights out after all these years.

I'm mostly getting a chuckle out of that Oakland series. Those lines were a joke.

About two weeks or so into the season, I said that Oakland is the worst team in baseball. I do believe that once the season ends, they will be in bottom 3 record-wise. They are one sorry bunch. Yanks shoulda been at least -200 every one of those meetings.
 
Interesting perspective. I could make an argument about how some of those Oakland lines were actually over-juiced on the Yankees side - as Yankees lines often are - however with 20/20 hindsight, I will just congratulate you. (I hope and assume you bet them).

Laying -145, -143, and -120 in a road series against anyone is pretty heavy chalk. I'm not saying that Oakland is a very good team, however.
