How so? He was a point per game player for them, and as you should know as a Flyers fan, he was the only player that showed up for that series.

I do think he is a beast, and in the right system will crush it as he always has.

He is like a Tracy McGrady to me almost, dominating skills but diminishes the chemistry of a balanced team like NJ. Ok he's better than TMac but you know what I mean.

Idk NJ was just that bad against Phi; I mean maybe Phi was just that good too, but you have to take a look at what went wrong there for the Devs.

No way you were watching the same series! The Flyers did play great and deserved that series through and through, but the Devils sleepwalked through the whole damn series.

I don't really mind either way if Kovy signs with the Kings or not. We'd be fine without him, and could use that money to make sure we keep our good young players around. That said, it'd be great to add an explosive weapon like Ilya... but at the right price, hopefully.

All I know is the Devils were right up there all season and then stunk it up in that series, and what was a major thing that changed about their team - Kovie. Sure there were some other things too.

That being said Kovie on LA would be sick.

For some reason I could perfectly perfectly envision Carter ending up over there and kicking ass. Too many Justin Williams similarities I guess.

I think you are giving the Devils too much credit. After their excellent 28-10-1 start, they fizzled hard in January, going 7-7-1. After adding Kovalchuk, they finished the season 13-9-5. I'd hardly blame Kovalchuk for "ruining the chemistry", January was their worst month without him, and they never really looked like a contender at any point in 2010 (unlike 2009).

I don't think Carter will end up in LA... we are very deep at center organizationally, and a top for defenseman and help on the wings are much bigger priorities. Also, don't get the Carter/Williams similarity... Carter has more raw talent, but Williams busts his ass a lot more... and off the ice, Williams is a class act, while Carter is kind of a punk. Not really a Lombardi type of player.
