Seriously though the Mrs and I unbeknown to us were there for 1 day like early of FF week and saw this .....

girl painted like this on top with short-shorts walking a old man (no younger than 80/85) on a leash! LOL!

also imagine this guy .....

in this ..... guy look like he was 7' tall too!

Only 2 we saw in the middle of the day but was told if stay till Friday/Sat everyone there would be dressed like that!

I've probably done the drive 7 times in the last 20 years but its been at least 10 years since I've gone down there.

It's a cool drive. The first part will be a bit boring. The 7 mile bridge is cool, though. It's no PCH drive but its very scenic.

Keep in mind that its still hurricane season till end of November and that as of right now, it's as humid as Acid Joe's balls down here.

It hasn't cooled off at all yet.


A nice, clean Bread And Breakfast is the way to go as far as accommodations. Stay away from the chain hotels to get the real experience.

Blue Heaven is a must for breakfast. It's aces.


Go out on the boat with some good champagne at sunset.

Dafty, we stayed in Key Largo area and was surprised how long it took to get to Key West! Only stayed the day! Didn't seem like a lot of chains there!

A few by the water dining places that we got some great, fresh, fish dishes in the Key L/Islamorada area! So relaxing!

nah no hurricane in mid november

i've done that drive too, it's just a 2 lane highway for most it

driving past the swampy area after homestead can get kind of chilly if driving through at night

The Zachary Taylor park has a nice fort and beach.

I pulled the car over and jumped off a bunch of those bridges on the way to key west.

I would go charter fishing.

What/where should I go for Thurs and Sun night??

Miami sun nights seems logical I suppose, but don't really want to stay there Thurs too.


How's Key Largo for a night? Worth it?


Any other must see/must do's while I'm out there?
