The Stars are having money issues, Hicks is trying to sell, so the salaries might have played a role in the trade. I have no clue what the salaries are and am to lazy to look them up.

Pretty awful trade for the Stars, no disrespect to Goligoski. Stars should have gotten a lot more for Neal.

Doesn't seem like they had to throw in Niskanen, but he needed to get out of Dallas anyway. Also Neal has been on a dream line with Louie and Richards all year. He should do just as good with Crosby, but who knows.

Im leaning towards signing Richards mainly because he is out with a concussion and they cannot get much for him in trade value and hate to see him walk come free agency.

penguins can still make noise, if they get back most of their injured guys. malkin is a hit but they still are one of the better teams without him.

Come on Blitty, I know you are an Ovechkin fan, but Crosby is the best player in the game. I like Richards but not sure if he is even top 20 material
