I remember back in my days in the conventional workforce, I got a big promotion. My strong memory though is not of jealousy, it is of people laughing too hard at my jokes. It was some kind of kiss-ass reaction. It really bothered me.

I never realized until then how important it was to me in life to have a true gauge of where I stand (with jokes).

Bread I am guessing I don't have another shot at a promotion for awhile, and by then Joaquin will be dead probably, although he seems to have cleaned up his act a bit recently so who knows...

Muddy jokes are important, but I don't know any.
 
Forget them they can just deal is all you earned it and you now have it.

Don't feel even one iota of empathy for the haters. Just sit back, don't say a word to them about any of the negativity.

Then when it's review time you make your decisions.
