I have forgotten a lot of the details but I can start. That smiley - which is called papageorge - is named after a former forum member - Papa George - who was a huge and ridiculous scammer.

I can't even remember the nature of his scamming. I remember him starting websites that were full of sports articles with his name as the author - but they were copied straight from actual writers at ESPN.com or whatever.

As illegal as that is, I feel sure there was some more nasty stuff.

So at some point some guy shows up on the forum that called himself assassin. He went on at great length about papa george's nefarious nature. He talked a lot about impending legal action and papa george going to jail and stuff of that nature. Assassin may even have had a website dedicated to him.

So that back-and-forth went on for quite awhile. I clearly remember how stupid papa george was. Just unbelievably thick. The idea of him out-smarting someone with a scam was hilarious.

Anyway, I'm running out of memories except that, at the end, papa george started a website called pucking hockey - which kato recalled up there - which led me to deploy the papageorge smiley.

I'm a little unclear how that smiley represents papa george to be honest.
