It is ridiculous - the starting pitchers have pretty comparable career stats - but I can't do it. It is one of those situations where I would have to wait for the monkey to be removed from Houstons back before I would consider them.

Well I don't know that it's a ridiculously undervalued play. I think it probably is and I suspect they will be average more than 2 runs a game for the season - but I don't know.

You know what the problem is? The New Jersey Nets. They are so fresh in my mind.

They started out awful like that and it turned out that they were truly terrible and even though my systems kept saying to play them, I over-rode it and ended up making a lot of money fading them, even playing a lot of big chalk faves which I very seldom do.

Those New Jersey Nets may be playing with my brain for awhile.

But bottom line, I always wait about 20 games into the season before I start betting MLB seriously. I need to take a good gander at things.

Actually they are as bad as they have looked. They are old. Berkman is a huge loss in the middle of the lineup for sure. Penny as a $200 fav is nuts.

Smart man. Listen to the monkey Rmember what happned to the nats last season? I think it was 15 losses before they had their 1st win.... They are just a bad team...period...Gonna keep fading the astros here until there 1st win...

Good point jello. However, imo pitchers still arent matched hardened as yet. That combined with the psychological factor of playing away, poor hitting from the astros and still playing without a win means that im taking the other side here jello. Sorry pal, but have made too much $$$ fading the astros thus far this season, who have yet to give me a reason y i should wager them, even at that price...

That's it though. I've played HOU and WAS 2 games in a row because I thought they were good values. I really like the Nats again tomorrow, but I have to cut myself off after two.
