Phil Collins is a good drummer. When Peter Gabriel left Genesis, Phil did the lead vocals on the Trick of the Tail album. No one really wanted him to be the lead singer - including himself - and they auditioned other people but nothing worked out and they reluctantly went with Phil.

That is a very good album, although I would not say that the vocals are a primary reason for that. But he did an adequate job.

That was 1976. He lost me after that.
