a couple reasons Blitty....Many of them went right out after work and never made it home. It might take them an hour to get home...a half hour to change and another hour to get back to where they were instead of just meeting friends. Not to mention all the money wasted on going back and forth.

Another reason is that it is NYC....people work until all hours. If they are Wall St. guys they don't even get out of work until 10 or so. They don't have to be into work until usually 9am so they are out doing things they shouldn't late at night.

yep, happens to me everytime I go to have a few beers to cool off after a hot day.
a few beers turns into 1AM sitting at the bar hammered looking like a rag a muffin with the days stinch still on me

Ok I guess that makes sense. A few of the locals I was conversing with just said those guys were douchebags, but I had a feeling there was probably a rational explanation for it.
