arent you around 6'4 ... im only 5'7 (with shoes) and was dunking a volleyball on a 9'5 ft. goal a few years ago... you can do this houser... i can feel it
I am 6'...probably a bit less these days. I used to dunk a girls ball with a little air out of it like a mofo...reverses and shit. But that was 15 years ago. Right now I cant touch the rim. I do have a plan though. Losing 20 more lbs..squats and repetitive jumping on stuff.
good thing about calves, you can work them a few days a week ... i work calves on leg day, but also superset them a few times a week while working back or shoulders... just move from one back/shoulder set to your 2-3 favorite calf machines and never really rest (1set back, 1 set calves.. changing the calve machine with the next exercise... fuck you know what im talking about)... it helps keep the heart rate high too and helps burn a few calories
Either or arch. ..gonna go one foot...I am 2 or 3 inches away from the rim right now...but my legs were still sore from 2 days ago. I hope I can nick the rim right now.
jump training in the sand can work wonders, you'd be surprised. easier on the knees as well. water is even better. i played ball with a few dudes who used to train in quicksand but they all just kinda disappeared one day.
I read about half of the guide to jumping higher posted on Bbuilding.com
Lot of reading. Something about force and velocity and power and shit like that.
Depth jumps something ruther. Stored energy and stuff.
Got 8 boxes jumped on top...jumped off and landed without heels touching ground then exploded up instantly as high as I could jump.
Sets of like 15...7 or 8 sets. Not looking for higher reps...need to build to higher boxes. We got some sort of squat rack. 135 25 times as fast as I could....4 times....275 sets of 12....3 times...Squat rack probably means a lot less then those numbers biut that aint important..
Nine boxes next week and 315 on the rack...need to get over the initial cant walk the next day after leg thing.
