Take a long vacation with your fianc before she reaches 6 months.

PS.....start saving for college from infancy. It softens the blow.

We got 4 years tuition for our oldest for $12K total (lump sum price).

I have mixed feelings about paying for education. I paid for college on my own. Same for the GF and she's a postdoc. (Mind you a good education costs almost nothing here in comparison.)

I don't want my kid to be like my GF's coworkers either. My kid is not mysteriously gonna own a $500k condo on a teacher's assistant salary (near minimum wage).

We traveled all over the place last year. We might still do London, UK in August but I don't feel the need to. I think I'm just about ready for the baby cyclone to hit my life right now. (Famous last words, I know.)

I've heard anywhere from January 1st through the 13th.
