How often do you wash your hair?

Yeah I was doing it every other day and I have recently started to question that. I was due to wash it yesterday - but then I looked at it right before I got in the shower - and it looked as good as it can. So I wondered what would happen if I left it. So I did.

Today was a great hair day.

So my plan was to wash it today but again, preparing for my shower, it looked exactly the best it ever looks - so I deferred again.

We'll see what's up tomorrow but I'm thinking twice a week may be plenny. I don't know why I had it in my head to wash it so often when, as I say, there was nothing in the appearance of it to suggest it needed anything. Maybe advertising works and injected me with sub-conscious imperatives.

I remember when I had long hair in my younger years. It would get a greasy thing going pretty fast. It needed warshed.

But now? I bet twice a week is good. Sunday/Wednesday kinda thing.

Yap.

Looking good here on day 4 so far.

Day 1 is always the worst looking day. Not dirty - but I put some goop in my hair on the first day and it is always a bit, I dunno, stilted or something.

But then on subsequent days I just wet it in the morning and muss it up ---> the existing goop does what it does ----> bada boom bada bing. Looking good here right now.

Movie-starrish, I think is the word I would use.

Movie-starrish.

mine is about every 3 days. It's very thick and takes forever to dry. I also would end up with straw hair if I did every day (there are excepts like in the summer if swimming, excessive sweating and/or the beach is involved) even with conditioner.

Washed mine today. Seemed to need it. Nothing egregious but just showing the first signs of breaking down.

There's an idea: wash hair when it seems to need it rather than when my programming by ads tells me it should be time.

4 days seems right. So I guess I could either say twice a week and pick two days and get in a routine - or else just forget all that and: when it seems to need it.

Now here is a supplementary question:

Do you ever use dandruff shampoo?

And a supplementary question to that:

If yes, have you ever had dandruff or do you just use the shampoo as a preventative measure?

And a supplementary question to that:

WTF is dandruff? I mean, I guess I know because the commercials have shown it - but do people actually get that? I don't think I have ever seen or heard of anyone having actual dandruff ever.
