How Much Do You Need To Make A Year?

So I’m going over my finances, and between monthly bills, daily spending and savings, I need to make $68,200 this year.

Most of you guys and girls here seem like you’ve done the “normal living” thing longer than I have.

Curious to know if my yearly income expectation is high.

Canadaigua is actually expensive Boner. Most expensive lake to live in of the Finger Lakes.

Our rent is $1650 a month. Utilities average $200 a month.

We met with a financial planner when I quit my job in 2016, so that she could compute my break-even point considering our lifestyle and goals. The figure was a $55k a year.

It's quite a bit lower since the wife got a hugh-ass raise last year.

(You mean to tell me that the guy who hand-winds guitar pickups isn't the main breadwinner?!? Big shocker, I know.)

I did not include gambling because this year I’m taking my saved nut and using that for my bankroll.

Granted it’s not a lot, but I should have enough gambling savings for 2021

Yeah I also include that. Granted my vacations are Vegas where everything is free. But I blow a fair amount on hockey related stuff and unnecessarily expensive whiskey 😁
