Hooligans Talk Poster of the Year 2024

We had a very entertaining year with the right dose of satire and funny from all the posters. I feel two of them stood out from the rest, Matty and Cougar Bait.

Matty's MLB adventure reinvigorated our baseball passion. He took us along the Quebecois countryside and his -ev nerd hobbies, he also had a near death experience. He closed the year strong doing that hockey thing.

CB was a surprising return and coming back so strong, with excellent posts of sport picks, food, numerology and specially music. His citizen journalism was top at a time of so much political turmoil. Thank you FW for bringing CB back!

I voted. It’s two completely different yet proficient posters this year.

I’m a big fan of both of their “work”. Love me sports picks. Love me unadulterated political opinions.

Both are deserving.

Would’ve liked to have seen @Archie in the mix. I’d say he posted this year more than he has the past 5 years.

I voted for Matty. His posted picks were better than mine, the deciding factor. Thanks for the nomination and I hope to one day give back to the indigenous peoples of Greece that made this possible. Also, I've been drinking since 4am.

Poor Caspy can't get no respect. Guy starts more original threads than anyone else. Rest of us just bump Obama-era threads.

Archie deserves an honorable mention for keeping a bunch of decade old running gags going. Nothing tonight.

Also Tron for having the highest betting ROI of any of us, by far. We bet on sports, that's what we do, sort of.

Plenty were LOL making fun at above including posters here but APPEARS many sport's players are celebrating to it!

Rumor has it this pair were dancing to it recently in SFLA.

I can imagine people wearing a MCGA baseball cap in the near future .....

It's been a long time since I was in Canada. In fact, the last time was the moment Gretzky retired. And I remember the response from Canadians very well. It was like a member of their family died. And I love sports, but just couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Not sure about his politics or interest in it, but one thing I have no doubt about, he is popular enough.
