All last week and now starting this week the unders are KILLING it. As an outsider I would have thought UNDERS would be the norm but the first few weeks of the season saw a good mix and even a slight advantage to the OVERS.

Is this how things generally go in hockey. Early couple of weeks everyone is healthy and eager and there are a lot of goals scored. Then a few weeks into the season with injuries and traveling starting to add up a little the goals start becoming harder to come by?

Can we expect to continue to see UNDERS dominate for another week or 2. Personally I like seeing so many UNDERS as they seem easier to spot than the OVERS but in tonights card I am seeing several games that lean to the OVER and I'm leary to play them OVER.

Wal,

I know you are not asking for my input, but all the unders you are seeing this year is definitely a little strange. I love offense and usually pick overs, but man oh man the unders seem to be hitting lately. I have a hard time betting unders because as I have mentioned I love to see a lot of offense happen and I have a hard time cheering for games to go under. It's hard to say if the unders will continue to dominate.

Pucky, I am obligated to direct any and all hockey information threads to Plommer per our contractual agreement but just so you know, you, Tully, Reno and all the other hockey guys are always being saught as well.

The books must love you.

There may well be a trend toward lower scoring games again. Unfortunately, the good quality hockey we saw the year following the strike is but a memory.
It seems that the defensive "masterminds" are once again succeeding at turning the game into a wrestling match. I would not be surprised for the scoring to stay down.
The books will adjust, so even if true (and I think that's a good possibility) the opportunity to make money will be short,

The only game I would feel confident about playing tonight would be.............

Florida/Anaheim UNDER 5.5 (-129)

I found no solid edge with any other games on tonight's NHL card. I do like Montreal at home but the Reg Only lines aren't up yet and that is the only way I would play the game.

Wal, last night OVERS were 5-2.

Wal, pal, when I saw this thread I typed a long response and hit enter, nothing happened, my beautifully crafted response just disappeared and I got pissed off and never wrote another until now. Plus the other guys responded with some good answers and I was big on the Detroit/San Jose OVER 5.5 -115 and didn't want to think about "unders".

I like how pucky says "I know you are not asking for my input" and then goes rambling on. Fucker has to learn manners.

Plommer,
The Leafs are playing Edmonton tonight so let's try to get along today. The Leafs should win this one after losing to Tampa the other night. What a fokken heartbreaker................EH? I see this game going over tonight with Bozak finally breaking out of his sophmore slump.

Anyways, your sentence stucture is absolutely atrocious. Were you drunk or high when you typed all that shit? You need to work on when and where to insert your commas. Maybe our francophone friend Matty will give you a few pointers.

God bless and may peace be with you Plommer.

Last week I had a great week as far as posting opinions on totals. The reason was there was a very definite correlation between my capping and the line. This week however most every game caps out as a coin toss. Tonight however I have one game where capping and line opener are in perfect harmony. Obviously it doesn't mean this is a sure thing but it is what worked last week.

Tonight we have a couple serious contenders. I have 3 games where capping and line opener are in perfect harmony with one another. We have 3 games but 4 plays and while I won't use all 4 positions as my daily parlay I will be using a portion of them.

Pittsburgh -1.5 +172
Montreal/New Jersey UNDER 5.5
Rangers/Islanders UNDER 5.5
Atlanta/Pittsburgh UNDER 5.5

I also like Montreal +107.

Pucky, I will be at the game, pal.

I like the Leafs chances tonight, can't say I was sad to see them lose vs Tampa - my money was on the Bolts and I got lucky.
