Suicide counseling?

I am going to talk myself through this to get a better understanding.

You have an entertaining team that scores a lot but has problems in the post season or late in the grind of the year..

so

You fire the coach and install a system that goes against your talent and asks a free skating team to now work hard in the middle of the season

The Maple Leafs have lost how many in a row...?

you went from this

Valorem,

The Leafs have not won a cup since 1967. If Leaf fans were to commit suicide, there wouldn't be any Leaf fans alive today. If you are bored and want to read up on just how bad they have become...

This franchise has become way to big to succeed. The big name players are just there for a paycheck and the others are just happy to be in the NHL. None of the great players in the NHL want ANYTHING to do with the Leafs.

I did not realize about players going there to cash the checks only....

so how do they cope (the fans)?

Some of the staunchest Leaf fans I know are so fed up; I think they just stop watching,or watch the game the same way someone watches TMZ to see their favorite celebrity go down the tubes. I truly feel bad for Leaf Nation. I have worked at the Air Canada Centre setting up concerts since it opened in 1999 (before that Maple Leaf Gardens). The atmosphere is quite bleak down there now. People being very quiet and even the rink staff, who is usually a bit loud and boisterous is quietly skulking around the building..

I feel it can only get worse this season... I wonder if they can beat the Oilers at home tonight?
