It's true.

I consider myself one of the nicest people around but when I am trying to make my money do not F with my time.

I Was calling people who had filled out mortgage applications on the internet.

Gave him the pitch, not knowing who he was. Then he gave me this "Do you know who I am" speech all of which I got out of it was that he hasn't hired a realtor and he will only waste my time.

So, I had to cut him off at 5 minutes into his life story. It was awkward too - gave him the "can you hold one for a second" and he awkwardly said "Ok" and then I flipped the phone shut.

He clearly knew it was coming. And I hope he's not thinking "Oh my God I just got hung up by a cold caller how bad am I."

I'm sorry Mr. Priest. I hope all works out for you, and you should talk to your family more. You lack the flow in a conversation where you listen to another person and you need to develop that. Again, I am sorry Mr. Priest I wish you all the best. I hope some kind soul ends up closing your purchase for you and I hope you end up happy.

That being said, go Flyers.

Please do not damn me to Hell Mr. Priest.

If anyone wants a live lead for a purchase in PA, holler at me.

I like how you were polite before you were rude to him.

Why not just hang up in his ear? Is it really better to ask him to hold on and then hang up on him? Getting the poor guy's hopes up like that.

100% polite as I am to everyone when representing the business. Polite yet assertive.

Regarding is it better putting him on hold gives the impression that there could have been some kind of mishap in that my reason for putting him on hold lead to a disconnection. I want him to think that's what happened yet I want to never speak to him again is how I see it, and this was my best chance at accomplishing that.
