The contest will start on Wednesday, April 14 and will run for the duration of the NHL playoffs.

Rules

*Straight 1-unit bets on individual games
*Bets allowed will be sides (OT included), 1.5 pucklines and totals - no props of any kind
*You must submit a minimum of 7 plays per week (weeks will run from Wednesday to Tuesday) or face disqualification
*Plays have to be submitted in the daily contest thread. I will put up a thread for the following day as soon as overnight lines appear in the offshore world.
*When submitting a play, quote a current price offered by any book listed on SBR Odds (in case of discrepancy or other mishap, I will grade plays based on Pinnacle's price at the time the post was made)

Prizes

*The poster with the most units won at the end of the playoffs will be allowed the use of the coveted NHL Guru poster title for one (1) year -free technical support will be offered to change your user title
*This person will also receive an Upper Deck Habs Centennial card signed by Habs legend Dickie Moore along with my personal copy of the riveting gambling diary The Smart Money by Billy Walters runner Michael Konik and Mudcat's copy of J.R. Miller's Beat The Pro Football Pointspread, which allegedly contains terrible information!

Ok, maybe one play a day? Minimum of 7 plays a week?

My goal was to have an actual betting contest instead of a mindless pick-the-winner-of-each-game kinda thing. But yeah, it would suck to have someone go 10-0 on the first day then sit on his lead for 2 months.

Rules amended - minimum of 7 plays per week.

I'll try this game, all I have to do is pick the puck line and totals, no canadian lines allowed right? Then post up the odds when I make the play, and all bets are for 1 unit a piece, right?

Not sure what you call a Canadian line. You can bet the ML (OT included), the puckline and/or the total. SBR Odds lists those and only those, so there's no confusion possible.

The rest of your post is correct, all plays are for 1 unit (risking 1 on positive odds and risking X to win 1 on minus odds) and you just gotta post current odds with your play.
 
I pretty much just play at Pinny now, but in the past at some other books, they will take the money line and the puck line and combine them for what they called a Canadian line. It has been about 5 years since I actual have placed a hockey bet, so they probably did away with that.
