Gamelive forum acting a bit odd for me lately

What's been happening - just for a couple of days - is when I type a post of any length - like, while I'm composing it - I just end up with one long left-to-right message. It does not form paragraphs.

Now when I post it, it converts to a normal format with regular paragraphs and the entire message within the frame. It is just while composing that the odd bit happens.

As soon as I hit enter, as I just did there, it will start a new line. But as far as that new line, I have seen no limit to it so far. It will just make this incredibly long single line if I keep typing without entering. And the scroll bar at the bottom gets shorter and shorter as there is greater distance to cover left to right. It just keeps going on and on no matter how much rambling I may do - which I am doing right now on purpose just to see. But nope - this 3rd paragraph here is one long line in the typing window.

I'm not bitching. It is a minor inconvenience but I can deal with it.

Just thought I'd mention it.



There has been another odd little glitchy thing lately. It is a bit tougher to describe but I will try shortly.

Which browser are you using?

Try using a different browser to see if you can replicate the problem, then report back, sir.

let's try a really long sentence by the way of typing and not copy and pasting to see if i can replicate this error, i have not done any installs or updates lately, im guessing this is working fine on chrome as this post went down a line by it self but lets keep writing a bit more to see if... yeah it worked

okay now lets try a long sentence on firefox, firefox is made by the mozilla corporation they work by open sourcing all development of the browser anybody can contribute code towards it''s development, okay it seems to be working also on firefox but a lets try a few more text to see if it goes down a bit more, yeah it worked again

ok, on this computer I have same problem. The script(?) never goes down, just getting a shorter and shorter scroll bar.:sparesomecutter:

I have also had this other problem but I hesitate to get into it because

(a) don't wanna muddy the waters

Well sometimes I go to create a post and there is nothing there.

Okay let's see if I can identify some parameters and dimensions.

I believe it always happens when there is a significant copy/paste from outside involved. Perhaps I am posting an article from the news or whatever.

But that won't be all. Gawd knows I cannot resist putting my own little 2 cents worth in on anything. So I'll have the copy/paste surrounded by general Mudcat nonsense and wise-assery.

BUT

when I go to post, I get an error message saying my post is too short.



When I click on Preview, the whole post will be sitting up above - I can see exactly what I am shooting for - but the actual composing window will now be blank.

I have issues when I try posting from my phone. Every individual word starts with a capital letter, which drives me insane. I don't post unless I'm on my laptop (which is rare).

Muddy I know what you're talking and I think I have the fix for it. Something to do with the utf-8 characters encoding causing that error. The long sentences one I have not been able to recreate but I'll continue trying. Teela I'll investigate what this is about.

It could just be my phone. It's kind of a jerk.
