Gambling ads in US sports

There's a tout's banner (rotating) behind the batter's box in the Marlins game. First time I see a gambling related ad in a US stadium/broadcast.

I don't get it. They've made some companies pay massive fines for taking gambling ads yet some still can do it. ESPN has odds from shitbooks like BetUS, and SbgGlobal on their page.

Although looking at the site there are no links to any offshore sportsbooks, I'm sure he's smart enough to know what to do and what not to do when he's advertising at a Marlins game.

It's all .net advertising. The books are using .net to get around UIGEA. Typically the .net sites do not offer actual gambling, but free contests, fantasy games etc.. The catch here is they are hoping to drive the traffic from .net over to their .com properties or people will forget to type.net and instead type .com.

yeah I would think that, but in this case it redirects straight to the .com, there's no .net at all

I'm sure you mean adamwins redirects to their .com property. Adamwins does not promote any sportsbooks or do not have any links to sites that promote online sportsbooks. They just sell picks which is OK under UIGEA.
