Just got word this morning that a very real offer will be made to Bob Stoops as head coach and former Florida quarterback Kerwin Bell as offensive coordinator.

Many in the area want Kerwin in the main seat but the powers that be are reluctant to give him a shot since he has no Division 1 experience as a coach. Bell built a powerhouse in Trinity Catholic before moving on to coach Jacksonville. He is an offensive wizzard and an all around football guy who will work his ass off.

I like Stoop's but to be honest if this deal to come together the real bonus will be Kerwin.

Obviously nothing is official yet just giving you the inside scoop from an inside source.

I didn't get the details. If I hear anything else I will pass it on. If he's not willing to take on Kerwin I hope they keep looking though. Don't get me wrong I have much respect for Stoop's but Bell has so much potential it's sick.

I understand Mike. This friend though isn't on a message board. He is friends with a guy who is tight with both Stoop's and Foley and supposedly that was where the info was coming from. All I really ever cared about was getting Kerwin. He would be instrumental in offensive schemes as well as recruiting.

Muschamp is considered one of the nation's premier defensive coordinators and was a 2007 Broyles Award Finalist (nation's top assistant coach). He joined the Longhorns' after spending the previous two years as defensive coordinator at Auburn.

In his five years as a coordinator at Auburn and LSU, Muschamp's defenses ranked among the nation's top 10 in total defense five times and scoring defense three times, while ranking in the top 15 in scoring defense the other two.
