A sexual embrace with his partner? What happened. Did the police kick in the door while they were having anal sex? Even if they were, not pertinent.

It was just SO ham handed, and came off to me as mean spirited. Like they felt like they had to put it in so their readers could understand i.e. "Ohhhhhh, I get it, the queer snapped. Gay! I understand now. It all makes sense".

How that line got past editing is perplexing.
