I was trying to think back of the closest derby finish......Grindstone didn't even win that thing he was like 1/4 a length fucking back, that shit was so rigged. The next year is when my babies started going. Silver Charm/Real Quiet/Charismatic.....oh the joy.

Big day on Saturday as there are great races all around. I am really looking forward to the Santa Anita Handicap to see if St Trinians can be the first female to ever win this race.

The big problem is that it could get all washed out again. 70% of rain here in SoCal on Saturday. I am hoping the rain stays away or at least doesn't rain too hard and force more cancellations. Damn synthetic track cannot handle any water.

I have yet to look at the race. I will download the past performances a little later on.

I just saw this in a DRF article regarding the track.

" With a forecast for rain and five days of racing having been lost this meet because of drainage problems with the Santa Anita Pro-Ride main track, track officials are taking precautions. Late Friday, a plastic tarp is scheduled to be placed over the main track.

"If it happens, it will be the first time in history a racetrack will be covered," said the track's superintendent, Richard Tedesco."

That's some bullshit the way those odds changed. The tracks need to do a better job in mingling the offtrack money into the system so these kind of drops don't happen.
