The World Cup was really a good ambassador for the sport of soccer. I'm actually finding myself watching the EPL. I wouldn't have ever done this had I not gotten so much enjoyment out of watching and betting the World Cup. It seems that even the Vegas sportsbooks are taking note as well. Books like the Strat are now offering odds on the EPL. I don't remember them ever doing that previously.

Yeah. It's even a big difference between World Cup play. You can certainly see the difference. Much crisper and faster.

Well this is a 40 game tourney to crown the champion. WC format is best 2 out of 3 games advance to next round and then knock out. That's why you see so many yellow cards.

Best leagues to watch are EPL, La Liga and champions league.

Not that anyone cares, but I enjoyed watching soccer for the first time during the World Cup this year. I saw the WC game back in 2006 when Zidane head/chest butted Materazzi and I was so bored. But this year seemed different. I'm sure a lot had to do with the fact you guys were really into it here on the board. And for the first time since I've known him, I caught Bread watching soccer. It seems (ya'll y'all you-all yawl?) have a lot of influence over him. Now if you could just teach him how to handicap!!!

Soccer is an enjoyable sport to watch. Only behind American Football in terms of most enjoyable sports to watch.
