Does anyone really have a good data base?

Everyone I've swapped data with has errors, usually serious.

How can anyone one trust their modeling if they've fed it shitty data?

I am happy with my data. I have a few steps I always take to error check. I'm sure I miss some and I am not 100% error-free but I am happy with the end results.

Games don't match up, no one has a decent 3rd / 4th down data for NCAA foots, Quarter scores are wazoo too. Some have whole year's boxes dropped out. I mean seriously.

Exactly where I'm heading. I have a pretty solid NBA db, now trying to get NCAA FB sorted. It'll be another few weeks, but it will happen.

I wasn't trying to be. I was just trying to explain why good databases aren't easy to trade for.
