I am genuinely confused by what's going on with it. Puzzling weirdness. Before explaining why, here is some introductory info, in case you don't know about it:

There's actually no app. It was shelved after the backlash. Not surprising. I believe the cut is planning on dumbing it down. Whatever.

As for confusion - the creators are confused. I'm seeing an app where people will flame people like crazy. A few will also praise people. People will love it - or hate it - or love to hate it - there will be a good amount of attention - as there already is ---> advertisers ---> cashola.

But the creators are all goofy how they want it to be about positivity. I figured at first they were just posing. Well played, I figured. But they seem genuinely ambivalent. There is some talk they may not even go live.

Never mind how out-to-lunch you have to be to expect primarily niceness with something like that - but why the fuck do you care? Just go with it.

Ehh, maybe it's all a calculated posture designed to promote discussion.



Hell If it's not going like you expected and you want to shut it down - I'll take it.
