Did anyone see any burlesque down in New Orleans? my gf might become a stripper

so long story short. over the past 4 months my gf developed a friendship with this lady from the gym. We tend to work out at the same time as them. She and her also are in an early morning wednesday pilates class.

had them over to a wildcard weekend football sorta light party. turns out the chick is like a semi famous stripper type girl. she was on america's got talent a few years back.

she has a little studio a few blocks down from our gym. She teaches all sorts of classes on the "art" of burlesque.

She has convinced Alysia to come to a class, starting in Feburary.

anyways she mentioned peforming at alot of burlesque shows. and Said new orleans was a "hotbed" for these kind of shows. here she is in a youtube vid from down there.

Nothing wrong with your girl taking "burlesque" classes but if she gets the itch to actually start doing shows there is an 80% chance your relationship will be over within 18 months.

I'd encourage the show of self confidence even if she did. but she wouldn't

from what I've gathered, some of the girls that take some of these classes, do have the option of performing on stage 1 time for a vaudiville type show as a group, that only has amateurs.

I guess there is a big difference between burlesque and the avg strip club that the avg guy visits

With Burlesque, you have to have a certain look and attitude to pull it off.

We saw this in St. Petersburg about a year ago and I loved it.
