Remember that if you plan on going to set your standards alot lower than what you would expect from a regular tourist destination like a Mexican resort etc.

Hotels are dumpy and old and don't have the luxuries most expect when travelling. If you can handle slumming it then you'll enjoy Cuba.

Forgot to mention that as a travel destination is VERY safe for tourists. I mean VERY.

Cops on the corners everywhere and pretty severe sentences for those Cubans dumb enough (there arent many - Cubans are sharp) to try to fuck with a tourist.

Since there is no economy there is no drug trade and the addicts that come with it.
